Universal Studios Japan will hold its Christmas event “Universal Christmas Joy” from November 19 to January 4, 2026.

The new night show “Light Up the Night: A Christmas Celebration” can be enjoyed at the end of the day. The show features performances by popular characters such as Hello Kitty, Snoopy, and Elmo, as well as guests dancing together, and snow and vertical fireworks (pyro), giving the show a more immersive feel. This month’s report is from the preview performance held on November 18.

Today is the long-awaited Christmas party. The story begins with a scene where four good friends gather with presents and enjoy the party excitedly and heartily.

Hello Kitty gives a cute dance performance while familiar Christmas songs play in the background. Snoopy and Charlie Brown, clad in wintery knit hats and scarves, will bring their original lanterns.

After a dance by the Snowman, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Abby appeared. The Snowman said, “Hey! Ho! Ho, ho, ho! and the classic Christmas song “Jingle Bells,” the guests joined in the fun.

Later in the show, a surprise gift will cause an unexpected turn of events. …… Stay tuned at the park for more details.

For the last scene, everyone brought candles and lanterns to celebrate the coming of a special Christmas. Even though it was mid-November, the night was cold enough to need a warmer for down, and the fireworks and snow made it feel like the end of the year.
