JR Group will discontinue sales of the “Rail & Rent-a-Car Ticket,” a special ticket, as of February 28, 2026. This is based on usage conditions.
The ticket is for a one-way, round-trip, or continuous trip of 201 km or more on a JR line and a rental car at a station en route, with a 20% discount on the JR line fare and a 10% discount on the rental car fare. The rental car ticket was purchased at the station after making a reservation for the rental car in advance.
The program will be available until the rental car is returned on February 28, but tickets purchased at the same time can be used until the end of the validity period.
