International Emergency Relief Aid for Victims of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica – Supplies

In response to a request from the government of Jamaica for assistance for damage caused by Hurricane Melissa, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will provide emergency relief supplies as follows.

On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa made landfall in southwestern Jamaica, causing extensive human and property damage in the affected western and central areas.

Death toll: 4

Injured 13 persons

Affected people: approx. 1.5 million

Evacuees: more than 7,200 people
