NEXCO East Japan Hokkaido Branch will begin operating a 4-lane section of the East Hokkaido Expressway (E38) near the Tokachi Shimizu Interchange on November 7.
In conjunction with this, the maximum speed will be increased from 80 km/h to 100 km/h on the section between the Tomamu IC and the Tokachi Shimizu IC where four lanes are in operation. The remaining section will continue to be converted to four lanes.
