On November 3, the Chinese government announced that it will extend the short-term visa waiver program for 45 countries, including Japan, until December 31, 2026 (24:00 Beijing time). Sweden will be added to the list on November 10.
The visa waiver period of stay is 30 days or less and applies to business trips, sightseeing, visits to relatives, exchange visits, transit (transit), etc. Those who wish to enter the country for purposes that do not meet the visa waiver conditions, such as studying or working, must continue to obtain a visa before entering the country.
