JR East Cross Station Development Company announced that it has started construction of Ecute Akihabara, an eco-friendly commercial facility at Akihabara Station (Sotokanda 1-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), aiming to open in spring 2025.
This is the 16th facility under the “ecute” brand to be opened at terminal stations in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and approximately 20 stores are scheduled to open mainly in the area between the central ticket gate and the Denkigai ticket gate on the first floor (approximately 900 m2). The “TOKYO FOOD BAR,” a food and beverage zone currently operating in this area, will be open for business for the last time on May 6.
