Tokyo Metro and Obayashi Corporation announced that they have been selected as the project partner for the Higashi Ueno 4-chome A-1 District Redevelopment Preparatory Association, which was established on March 26.
The A-1 district is a 1.0-hectare area located at the intersection of Showa-dori and Asakusa-dori in the “Higashi Ueno 4/5-chome District Plan” formulated by Taito Ward in 2019, and is expected to be completed by the mid-2030s, aiming for a phased urban development suitable for a gateway connecting Ueno and Asakusa.
