ITOCHU Announces Signing of Yen Loan Agreement for Cambodia: Contributing to Improving Access to Advanced Medical Care for Local Residents through the Development of a Regional Hospital | News & Media

On March 14, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Loan Agreement (L/A) with the Cambodian government in Phnom Penh, the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia, for a loan of up to 21,104 million yen for the “Regional Hospital Development Project.

This project will provide the medical facilities and equipment necessary to upgrade the provincial hospitals in Siem Reap and Kompong Cham provinces to regional hospitals. The project aims to improve access to advanced medical care in rural areas of Cambodia, to correct the disparity in medical care between the capital and rural areas, and to improve the health of local residents, thereby contributing to SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) Goal 3 (health and welfare for all).
