Hanshin Electric Railway Co. announced that the Osaka-Umeda Station improvement work, which began in March 2015, will be completed on March 16.
A new two-story upper and lower underground structure was constructed at the existing station, and new tracks were laid in the expanded station space. In addition, the former track 3 was eliminated and two platforms were widened, and platform doors were installed. On the west ticket gate side, escalators and elevators were installed to provide barrier-free access.
