Metropolitan Expressway Company, NEXCO East/Central Japan and other expressway companies will sequentially implement preventive road closures due to heavy snowfall from around noon on February 5.
Other entrances may be closed, and SA/PAs may also be closed.
In addition, driving with normal tires during snow and icy conditions is a violation of the Road Traffic Law, and even one vehicle that cannot drive on its own can cause massive traffic congestion, so companies are urging drivers to refrain from unnecessary trips.
