Earthquake Causes Road Closures on Expressways in Hokuriku Region

The Hokuriku Expressway and other highways in the Hokuriku region are closed due to the earthquake that struck the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture at around 16:10 on January 1, 2011.

The road closures as of 5:00 p.m. are between Toyama IC and Maruoka IC, Uozu IC and Namegawa IC, Asahi IC and Niigata Chuo JCT on Hokuriku Expressway, Oyabe Tonami JCT and Shirakawa-go IC on Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway, Joetsu JCT and Shinanomachi IC on Joshinetsu Expressway, Niigata Chuo JCT and Arakawa Tainai IC on Nihonkai Tohoku Expressway, Nagaoka JCT and Koide IC on Kanetsu Expressway. IC, Niigata-Chuo IC to Tsugawa IC on the Ban-Etsu Expressway, and Nagaoka JCT to Koide IC on the Kan-Etsu Expressway.
