Tokai Bus will begin service of its GRANDLUXE small sightseeing bus in April 2024.
The train is designed to be chartered to wealthy customers on the Izu Peninsula, and has only 10 reclining seats with a seat pitch of over 900 mm. The interior and exterior of the car will have a luxurious design, with a gold band on the body and marble-like interior flooring. The name is derived from “Grand” (grand) and “Luxe” (luxurious, elegant, and refined).
Charter fares are expected to be at least 1.5 times higher than conventional small chartered bus fares, and details will be announced in the future.
