Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo, provides official live streaming of the temple’s precincts, showing how crowded it will be for Hatsumode 2024.

Senso-ji Temple (2-3-1 Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo) will hold its New Year’s Day top prayer card giving ceremony from January 1 to 7, the first visit of 2024.

From the 1st to the 3rd, when a large number of visitors are expected, the temple grounds will be closed and admission will be restricted. Due to the restrictions, visitors may have to wait for a long time to enter the hall.

Senso-ji Temple is posting live camera images of its precincts on its official website and on YouTube, so that visitors can check how crowded the temple is in advance.
