The Fat Cat Lab Limited Liability Partnership (within Ehime Shimbun) has released “MARU Light Towel”, a collaboration of Imabari towel “MOKU Light Towel” and a creative children’s story “Kanashiki Fat Cat-chan”. The price is 1,300 yen per piece. Ehime Shimbun 47 stores will carry them.
MOKU Light Towel is a towel brand developed by a local company, KONTEX. The thin, lightweight, and squeezable fabric is designed with the face of Maru, the main character in the novel “Kanashiki Fat Cat,” by Kazuma Hayami, a novelist with ties to the prefecture, and Karin Kanou, a picture book author from Imabari City.
It measures 33 x 100 cm and is available in five colors: orange, blue, pink, lemon, and green. They are recommended not only for daily use, but also for use in hot springs, saunas, and as gifts.
