Sumitomo Rubber Industries, which operates the DUNLOP brand, has announced a “Tire Replacement Calendar” for each region, which serves as a guide for replacing studless tires.
Based on snowfall data to date, the recommended date for changing studless tires is one month before the first snowfall of a normal year.
The company calls for early tire changes to prevent out-of-stocks of desired tires and to allow for “break-in runs” to remove chemicals that are applied to the product during the manufacturing process.
