Revised edition of “Railroad Maple National Railroad Map Book” is now available. Abandoned railway lines from the Meiji era are included, and forest railroads across Japan are added.

Shobunsha will release a fully revised edition of “Railway Maple National Railroad Map Book” on December 8, 2012. The B5 size, 444 pages, is priced at 3,960 yen.

This map book features all existing lines and major abandoned lines on a regular scale map that is not deformed. With the revision, abandoned railway lines from the Meiji era, which were only included from the postwar period in the first edition, are now listed. Forest railroads for forestry and uncompleted lines, which are lines that have not yet been opened, are also newly included.

In addition, detailed maps are augmented with complex route maps by region, including Yubari in Hokkaido. With simple explanations, the route network of bygone days can be confirmed.
