HIS (H-IS) announced that it will expand the LeaLea Trolley route to take passengers to tourist destinations on Oahu.
The service, which had been suspended due to the Corona disaster, resumed with two original routes in November 2022, and was significantly expanded to eight routes (seven original routes (six lines and one express) and one Waikiki Trolley route) in November 2023, as the number of international travelers has been recovering.
The LeaLea Trolley provides access to tourist and commercial facilities outside of Waikiki and central Honolulu, and now offers a new driving route to Ala Moana Beach Park, a famous sunset spot, and a direct route to the KCC Farmer’s Market, where you can find made-in-Hawaii goods. The new service will also offer direct flights to “Ala Moana Beach Park,” a famous sunset spot, and the “KCC Farmers Market,” where you can find made-in-Hawaii products.
