Disney Resort Line price increase. Adults 260 yen to 300 yen. New fares scheduled for March 2024.

Maihama Resort Line, which operates the Disney Resort Line at Tokyo Disney Resort, applied to the Kanto District Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on November 2 for approval to change the upper limit of passenger fares.

The fare change is scheduled for March 2024, and will be 300 yen for adults, up from the current 260 yen. The commuter pass will be 9,000 yen per month, up from the current 7,850 yen per month. The commuter pass will be 5400 yen, up from the current 4750 yen.

The Disney Resort Line opened on July 27, 2001, primarily to transport visitors to Tokyo DisneySea and to facilitate transportation within the Tokyo Disney Resort.

The cars that have been in operation since its opening in 2001 will be renewed between 2018 and 2022. In addition, a total of 14 billion yen has been invested in the renewal of the car operation management system, signaling equipment, platform doors, the addition of elevators, and maintenance of the transportation IC card system.

In addition, the company has been actively promoting its services by issuing commemorative tickets on wrapped trains to coincide with events. At the same time, the company has been making efforts to streamline its management, including the use of LED lighting and more efficient operation schedules. This is the first time in 16 years, since April 2007, that the company has applied for a fare revision, except for the fare revision associated with the consumption tax rate hike.

In addition to depreciation and maintenance costs for existing facilities, the company plans to invest in major repairs to station buildings to comply with safety standards, and to upgrade substation facilities and ticket gate systems.
