The Japan Road Builders Association will review the “simple-type nursing rooms” that are being installed at roadside stations.
The nursing room was installed in September as a measure to support child-raising at the roadside station, but many comments were received regarding its security and safety.
Based on interviews with the National Association of Women Station Managers of Roadside Stations, an improved version of the system includes an optional component that can extend the height of the ceiling and a door that can be locked. Information on installation locations and operation methods will also be shared on SNS within the National Roadside Stations Association starting in December.
Installation of the improvements is scheduled to begin on November 9. Improvements will also be accepted for the seven stations already installed.
