JVC KENWOOD began accepting reservations for the IPB01G, a portable power supply that uses recycled batteries from electric vehicles, on October 30 at the JVC KENWOOD Store, its official online store. The price is 170,500 yen.
Since it uses a recycled “Nissan LEAF” battery, it can be used and stored in vehicles in environments ranging from -20°C to 60°C. It can be recharged repeatedly for approximately 2,000 times. The batteries can be repeatedly recharged approximately 2,000 times and can be stored for a long period of time with little self-discharge, so they can be used as an emergency power source in times of disaster.
It also received the “Good Design Gold Award (Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award)” in 2023.
