JICA President Akihiko Tanaka met with Kunio Mikuriya, Director General of the World Customs Organization (WCO), at JICA Headquarters on October 13.
President Tanaka expressed his appreciation to Director General Mikuriya, who will be stepping down this December, for his leadership in the close collaboration between JICA and WCO.
In response, Director General Mikuriya expressed his gratitude for JICA’s cooperation over the years, and expressed his desire to continue to expand cooperation between JICA and WCO.
The two parties exchanged views on cooperation with the African region, the Pacific Island countries region, and the Central Asian region under a business cooperation agreement (MOC) signed in 2015.
