Hakone Ropeway (between Hayakumoyama Station and Owakudani Station), operated by Hakone Tozan Railway, introduced “glass hatch gondolas,” in which the floor of the gondola is partially made of glass.
The glass floor provides a view of the natural beauty of Owakudani, one of Hakone’s most famous sightseeing spots, directly below. All two gondolas are available for use with a standard ticket. It is not possible to select a specific gondola.
