Sumitomo Mitsui Card expands Standard Card service. Gold Card with no membership fee for annual spending of 1 million yen or more.

Sumitomo Mitsui Card Co., Ltd. has expanded the point service of its Standard Card by four points from October 1.

Up to 7% points per 200 yen when using smartphone touch payment at participating stores, and 5% points per 200 yen when using card payment at participating convenience stores and restaurants “Up to 7% points at participating convenience stores and restaurants! In addition to this, the company is offering a 7% point redemption rate per 200 yen when using smartphone touch payment at USJ and Universal CityWalk Osaka. This is an increase of 2% from the previous point redemption rate of 5%.

In addition, users of general rank cards such as Sumitomo Mitsui Card can now switch to “Sumitomo Mitsui Card Gold” with no annual fee forever if they spend 1 million yen or more per year. In order to receive the invitation, the cardholder must be at least 20 years old and have the “Sumitomo Mitsui Card Letter” e-mail service set to “Receive” in addition to an annual credit card usage record.
