Ibaraki Prefecture launches new travel support program “Experience Kingdom Ibaraki Wari” in October, offering up to 3,000 yen discount per night plus local coupons.

Ibaraki Prefecture will implement a new tourism demand stimulus program, “Experience Kingdom Ibaraki Discount,” from October 1 to December 27 (including check-out on December 28).

When you make a reservation directly with a lodging facility in the prefecture, you will receive a discount of 20% of the room charge (maximum 3,000 yen per person per night) and an electronic coupon “Community Support Coupon” (2,000 yen per night on weekdays/1,000 yen per night on holidays) that can be used for purchasing souvenirs and eating/drinking when you check in.

The offer is valid for stays of 2,500 yen or more per person per night on weekdays and 1,250 yen or more per person per night on holidays (up to 7 consecutive nights per reservation), and does not apply to reservations made through travel agencies or OTAs, trips that include transportation, or one-day trips. The program will end as soon as the budget runs out for each participating accommodation facility.
