You can ski from autumn! Sugadaira Kogen Snow Resort to Open Artificially-Made Snow Slopes Early

Harles Ski Resort has installed four MND SNOW, the first French-made snow machines in Japan, at Sugadaira Kogen Snow Resort (1223-1751 Sugadaira Kogen, Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture), which will open on October 21. In conjunction with this, the company has released reservation advance lift tickets for early operation.

Snow will be made in the family course “Taroyama Area” and “Urataro Slope,” which will be 10 to 15 meters wide and 450 meters long when it opens. Even if there is a lack of snow due to rising temperatures, there will be no need to worry about drastically postponing the opening or closing the slopes early, so that the ski resort can operate stably. The snow will be continuously made and widened to create a thicker course.
