Pre-orders begin for Japan’s first EV camper “moonn. T-01”. Equipped with sub-battery for home appliances

On August 9, Carstay began taking advance reservations for the “moonn.” brand vehicle “T-01 (Type One),” the first EV camper in Japan developed in collaboration with emerging EV manufacturer HW ELECTRO. The price with standard equipment is 11.5 million yen.

The moonn. T-01 is based on HW ELECTRO’s ELEMO-L mid-size EV van, which Carstay has fitted with home appliances and a bed. In addition to the main battery for driving, the vehicle is equipped with a sub-battery that can be charged from a solar panel mounted on the roof of the vehicle. The vehicle can be equipped with a refrigerator, air conditioner, microwave oven, and other home appliances.

The running battery is fully charged in about 8 hours, and the sub-battery is fully charged in about 7 hours. The driving range per charge is approximately 270 km.

The maximum speed is 90 km/h and the vehicle height is 2045 mm. 2 passengers and sleeping capacity.
