The “National Travel Support” has been implemented for two terms (from October 11, 2022 to the end of December/January 10, 2023) under the Corona Disaster. Each prefecture that has reached its budget has sequentially declared the end of the program on its official website.
Some prefectures have secured quotas for “group tours (including one-day tours) using chartered buses” recommended by the Japan Tourism Agency, and sales are ongoing through participating operators (travel agencies and OTAs).
In addition, some prefectures have newly launched their own discount assistance and coupon campaigns, although individual travel in the National Travel Assistance is no longer being accepted. If you make good use of them, you can enjoy discounted travel until the end of November at the most. The latest situation is summarized below.
