On June 23, Ibaraki Prefecture decided on Tsuchiura as the direction for the Tsukuba Express (TX) line extension and began studying the feasibility of connecting the line to Tsuchiura Station on the JR Joban Line.
As for the extension of flights to Ibaraki Airport, for which there are many expectations from the residents of the prefecture, the company says it will discuss the matter only after the situation changes, such as easing of landing restrictions.
