JR East Group will open the JR Shinkoiwa South Exit Building (1-45-1 Shinkoiwa, Katsushika-ku, Tokyo), directly connected to the station, on October 1.
Chapeau Shinkoiwa, a commercial facility with 10 tenants including restaurants, will open on the 1st and 2nd floors, JEXER Fitness & Spa Shinkoiwa, a sports facility on the 3rd to 5th floors, and Katsushika Ward’s administrative service facility, Ekinikowa, on the 6th floor.
In the event of an earthquake, flood, or other disaster, a portion of the building will be opened to the public and serve as a temporary stay facility for those who have difficulty returning home.
