Tochigi Prefectural Police to Restrict Traffic in Nikko City for G7-related Ministerial Meeting. Traffic congestion is expected around Lake Chuzenji, Iroha-zaka, and Nissha-Ichi-ji Temple from June 24 to 26.

The Tochigi Prefectural Police will enforce traffic regulations in Nikko City for three days from March 24 to 26 in anticipation of the G7 Ministerial Meeting to be held in Nikko City.

Among the ministerial meetings to be held before and after the G7 Hiroshima Summit, a meeting of ministers in charge of gender equality and women’s activities will be held in Nikko City (The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko) from June 24 to 25. The prefectural police will enforce traffic restrictions from June 24 to 26, including the day after the meeting. Traffic congestion is expected around Lake Chuzenji, Iroha-zaka Hill, and the Nikko Futaarasan Shrine, Nikko Toshogu Shrine, and Nikko-zan Rinnoji Temple, so they are asking visitors to use public transportation and adjust the operation of their business vehicles.
