Projection mapping at Okazaki Castle, the birthplace of Ieyasu. The castle tower will be decorated on a summer night.

Okazaki City and the Okazaki City Night Time Economy Promotion Council will hold “Okazaki Castle Castle Keep Projection Mapping 2023” on August 4 and 6 (19:30-21:30), produced by Ihata.

Projection mapping featuring the city’s culture, history, and traditional industry “Mikawa Fireworks” will be projected on the keep of Okazaki Castle (561-1 Kosei-cho, Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, in Okazaki Park), the birthplace of Ieyasu Tokugawa. Visitors can see Okazaki Castle decorated with cutting-edge digital art for free (no advance reservation required).

On August 5, the event will be held in collaboration with the “75th Fireworks Display at Okazaki Castle Summer Festival” (19:00 – 20:30), and will be broadcast live by TV Aichi. The castle will be off-limits.
