TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Joso IC opens on May 27. Five stores, including a Starbucks and a children’s playground, will be housed.

Toda Corporation, Towa Kanko Kaihatsu, and Culture Convenience Club will open “TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Joso Interchange” (3, Musubi-machi, Joso, Ibaraki) on May 27 near the Joso IC on the Ken-O Expressway, where the “Agri-Science Valley Concept” is underway.

The “Agri-Science Valley Concept” is a city initiative to create a new center for food, agriculture, and health, and the adjacent “Roadside Station Joso” and the aerial strawberry garden “Granberry Daichi” were the first to open.

TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Joso Interchange, a bookstore complex, proposes a lifestyle for the whole family under the concept of “Second House.

The facility will feature a “BOOK & CAFE” where visitors can relax and choose a book before purchasing it with a Starbucks coffee or other beverage in hand, an all-weather children’s playground “Kusuguru,” a test base and information dissemination space for the Honda R&D Center “Honda ASV-Lab,” a bakery cafe “Yume Koubou Koko to Cream”, a bakery-café, and “SENDA BANDA”, a gelato store using locally grown strawberries and other seasonal agricultural products.

Hours of operation are from 9:00 to 21:00, seven days a week.
