National Hitachi Seaside Park announces full bloom of nemophila. Peak viewing period will continue until April 22.

The National Hitachi Seaside Park (605-4 Onuma, Mawata, Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture) has updated its nemophila bloom forecast. As of April 17, approximately 5.3 million nemophila planted on the 58-meter-high “Miharashi no Oka” are in full bloom.

Due to warmer temperatures in February and March, the flowers reached their 7th bloom on April 8, 6 days earlier than last year and 7 days earlier than normal. The peak bloom period will continue until around the 22nd, and the number of flowers will remain relatively high until the 30th. During the period, a rest area with a panoramic view and a temporary information center will be open.

Due to expected crowds on April 17-18, the park will open earlier at 9:00 a.m. (closing time will be 5:00 p.m.). The parking lot will open 30 minutes prior to the opening.
