On April 12, Yahoo Japan announced that the Android version of its map application for smartphones, Yahoo! MAP, is now compatible with Android Auto.
Android Auto is a feature that optimizes smartphone apps for in-car display audio, and was first supported by Apple CarPlay on March 3.
The new system also displays illustrations of intersections, optimal driving lanes, and icons for road closures, lane restrictions, chain restrictions, etc. Google Assistant is also supported, allowing voice-activated operation.
Car Navigation” (Android version) is scheduled to support Android Auto around summer.
