Full-scale construction of the 18-minute Haneda Airport Access Line from Tokyo to Haneda begins. New Haneda Airport station (tentative name) to be located underground at 2 Tami P3.

On April 4, JR East announced the start of full-scale construction of the “Haneda Airport Access Line (tentative name). The line is scheduled to open in fiscal 2031.

The Haneda Airport Access Line (tentative name) is a project to form a rail route directly connecting the Utsunomiya, Takasaki, and Joban lines to Haneda Airport, and when completed, will allow passengers to reach Haneda in approximately 18 minutes from Tokyo Station.

The new line will be formed by the following five projects, which are called “Higashiyamate Route” and “New Access Line” in the plan.
