NEXCO West Japan Kansai Branch launched the “Kansai Area Round Trip Drive Pass,” a discount plan for ETC vehicles only, on April 1. The plan allows unlimited rides on expressways in four prefectures in the Kansai region (Kyoto, Nara, Hyogo, and Wakayama).
Previously available only for a limited time during the tourist season, this product has been changed to a year-round product. In addition, the company has newly set up a tour plan for Wakayama and Nara. The fare is 6300 yen for a standard car and 5000 yen for a mini-car, etc. for a two-day plan.
It is necessary to apply through the company’s website “Michi Tabi” before the start of expressway use.
Note that the Drive Pass has a limit on the number of times it can be used per plan, and the same ETC card can be used up to four times per year (from January 1 to December 31; four times between April 1 and December 31 in 2023).
