NEXCO West Japan and West Nippon Expressway Service Holdings, in cooperation with Koga City, Fukuoka Prefecture, have installed a “hometown vending machine” at Koga SA (uphill line) on the Kyushu Expressway.
When you donate at the “Furusato Tax Vending Machine,” a ticket for the returned goods is issued on the spot and can be used immediately for shopping and dining at Koga SA (uphill line). The shopping corner offers a variety of Fukuoka Prefecture’s specialties, such as spicy cod roe, motsunabe (a hot pot with various ingredients), and tonkotsu ramen, as well as local products from Koga City.
The location is next to the store’s information corner, and the system will be in operation from 8:00 to 20:00. Six donation amounts are available: 10,000 yen (3,000 yen worth of returned goods) to 50,000 yen (15,000 yen worth of returned goods) in units of 10,000 yen, and 100,000 yen (30,000 yen worth of returned goods).
Payment is by credit card only. The validity period is 6 months from the date of issue.
