Keifuku Electric Railway will resume operation of the Eizan Cable and Eizan Ropeway on March 18 after a winter break for maintenance.
Cable Yase Station (Kami-Takano Higashiyama, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) and Hiei Station will be equipped with Western-style toilets and baby seats to make the ride more comfortable. In addition, the first 2,000 passengers from the first departure at Hiei Station will receive a commemorative “Words from Hieizan” tenugui hand towel, which has become a tradition at the beginning of the season.
