Tokyu Corporation announced that the Sotetsu-Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line, which will open on March 18, has passed the completion inspection by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and a letter of acceptance was issued on February 21.
The completion inspection is stipulated by Article 10 of the Railway Business Act, and the company and Sotetsu had been undergoing inspections of railroad tracks, tunnels, stations, and operational safety equipment since January 30.
With this grant, the project will make further progress toward opening.
