On March 22, JR West will launch the “Mobile ICOCA” service, which allows Android smartphones to use the ICOCA IC card ticket functions.
The functionality of ICOCA, which allows users to use transportation and pay for purchases simply by touching it, will be retained, and users will be able to recharge and purchase commuter passes anywhere. WESTER points can also be earned by using mobile ICOCA, and the accumulated points can be recharged.
Mobile ICOCA can only be used with adult fares. It cannot be used for child fares or fares with discounts for the physically or mentally handicapped.
