JB Honsha and JR Shikoku will hold the “35th Anniversary Seto-Ohashi Special Tour” on April 9 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the opening of the Seto-Ohashi Bridge and the Seto-Ohashi Line. The tour will begin accepting reservations at 10:00 a.m. on February 26.

In addition to regular trains, the Kiha 185 Series “Revival Uzushio” can be photographed from the upper part of the Seto-Ohashi Bridge (administrative passageway), which is normally inaccessible. The train, which wears the rare Shikoku colors of the Kiha 185 series of JNR diesel trains, will be operated as a special group train with the old design “Uzushio” head mark.

Tour applicants will board the Kiha 185 Series “Revival Uzushio” on either the outward or return trip between Takamatsu Station and Kojima Station. To get to the train photo shooting site on the Seto-Ohashi Bridge, they will be transported by “Sora Bus,” an open-air sightseeing bus without a roof.

The fee is 30,000 yen for junior high school students and older for both morning and afternoon photo shoots, and elementary school students and younger are not eligible to apply. The plan to board the Kiha 185 Revival Uzushio without photography will cost 15,000 yen for adults and 13,500 yen for children.
