In the Philippines, the establishment of an autonomous Bangsamoro government was agreed upon between the government of the Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front in 2014 in the Muslim Mindanao Autonomous Region on the island of Mindanao, where conflict has continued for many years. However, due to the long-standing conflict in the area, it is the most underdeveloped region in the country and has the highest poverty rate in the country. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the governance of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Government and quickly develop infrastructure that contributes to improving the lives and livelihoods of the local residents.
This cooperation aims to establish an autonomous government of the Bangsamoro, to rebuild vocational schools and procure vocational training equipment, to rapidly and urgently develop necessary socio-economic infrastructure such as agricultural roads, and to bring peace dividends to the people, in order to consolidate and promote the peace process and to achieve sustainable peace and stability in Mindanao.
