The three NEXCO companies, JB Honshi Expressway, and Miyagi Prefecture Road Public Corporation will not apply holiday discounts during Golden Week, Obon, and year-end and New Year holidays from the viewpoint of traffic dispersion during congested periods.
Normally, light cars and regular cars driving on local expressways and main-road expressways on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are eligible for discounts through the ETC system; in FY2023, holiday discounts will not apply to expressway travel on weekends and holidays during Golden Week, Obon, and year-end and New Year’s holidays.
