Planex Communications will release a new hotel router model “Chibi Phi 4” (MZK-DP300N) in late January, which can convert wired LAN to wireless LAN in hotels and other lodging locations. The price is around 4,000 yen.
The previous model (Chibi Phi 3) supported a maximum speed of 150 Mbps, but the new model has increased the maximum speed to 300 Mbps. The new model also has a new function to adjust the signal strength in five levels. Like the previous model, the new model is designed with an integrated retractable power plug, making it compact and easy to carry.
It measures 30 x 45 x 55 mm and weighs approximately 53 g.
