Hakuba Village Tourism Bureau, in collaboration with Sinto Communications, DESIGN STUDIO. and Final Aim, will conduct a demonstration experiment using Web 3.0 technology.
Photographs of Hakuba Village in winter this season will be solicited, and the information (time, location, etc.) based on the photographs will be recorded in a blockchain and published on a special website. NFTs will be issued to photo contributors as certificates.
The project is meant to be a non-fungible record of the nature of Hakuba Village, which has faced a severe lack of snow due to the climate crisis.
