Hanshin Electric Railway will begin service on January 28 at Osaka Umeda Station with a new No. 2 line.
The improvement work has been underway since March 2015, and upon completion, the platforms will be widened and platform doors will be installed on all of the new tracks 1 through 4.
Like the new Track 1, which will be in service prior to October 2021, the new Track 2 will also be equipped with platform doors (movable platform railings) from January 28, 2021.
The improvements are scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2024.
