NEXCO East Japan Niigata Branch has closed traffic due to snowfall as of December 20.
Although the weather is recovering today, it is expected to take some time for the road traffic network to normalize. In addition, there are large scale vehicle holdups on major roads in Niigata Prefecture, so drivers are urged to refrain from unnecessary trips out of the city.
