JR Group announced the reservation status of reserved seats for the year-end and New Year period (December 28-January 5) of fiscal year 2022.
The number of reserved seats available for reservation by the six JR companies was 8.95 million, up 108% from the previous year, and the number of seats reserved as of December 16 was 283, up 116% from the previous year.
Looking at reservations by day, 310,000 seats each were reserved on December 29 and December 30 and 220,000 seats on December 31 for downbound, while 320,000 seats were reserved on January 3 and 290,000 seats on January 2 for upbound.
