Signing of Yen Loan Agreement for Jordan: Contributing to the Realization of Sustainable and Stable Electricity Supply through Financial Assistance

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Loan Agreement (L/A) of up to 15 billion yen with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the “Electricity Sector Reform and Resilience Enhancement Program Loan” in Amman on December 8.

This project aims to promote renewable energy and strengthen energy resilience by providing financial support to the Government of Jordan to reform the electricity sector, thereby contributing to the realization of a sustainable and stable electricity supply and improving the country’s international balance of payments and fiscal balance of payments. Contribute to Goal 7 (Energy for All and Cleaner), Goal 8 (Job Satisfaction and Economic Growth) and Goal 13 (Concrete Action on Climate Change) of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
