WWS, a work uniform that looks like a suit, becomes the uniform of Toki Air, an airline in Niigata, Japan. MA-1s for mechanics are also sold to the general public.

Oasis Lifestyle Group’s “WWS” (workwear suits) has partnered with Toki Air, an airline based at Niigata Airport that aims to launch domestic flights, to develop uniforms for pilots, CAs, and mechanics.

Toki Air is a new airline aiming to start domestic flights by the end of FY2022. employing ATR turboprop aircraft, Toki Air plans to open a route to Sado Airport, where scheduled flights have been suspended since 2014, as it can take off and land on a short runway.

In introducing the uniforms, the company emphasized stretchability for comfort during flight operations, durability for aircraft maintenance, and resistance to fatigue. All uniforms except shirts are made of “ultimatex,” a new proprietary material that is machine washable, stretchable, wrinkle resistant, and dries in three hours. It is machine-washable, stretchable, wrinkle-resistant, and can be dried in three hours. In a joint research with a university, it was also proven that the fatigue level is reduced to one-fifth compared to that of ordinary suits.
